PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
Based on our successful Summit Service Profit Builder™, special enhancements have been added to create a unique and user friendly software specific to the rendering industry. Whether you are collecting and separating grease and water from other materials, bone and fat for the grease and meal content, or dead stock for grease, meal, and hides…Summit Rendering Profit Builder keeps you on top of your business. Summit allows you to specify load factors, indicating typical waste and water content for various load types. In addition, hide qualities can be designated and inventoried directly from work orders processed from field collections. Bills of lading and vendor shipping/billing are also managed nearly effortlessly, with adequate reporting on pending activities and closed items.

Automatically schedule your next service, particularly when there is a short duration between jobs. Otherwise, use the automatic reminder card feature to help secure future business and not let it slip away. Maintain complete job history including diagrams, maps, and other pertinent job information. Flat-rate or detailed invoicing capabilities are included. A dispatching work-flow management screen with links to advanced mapping tools keeps your company on top of customer service, technicians' schedules, and current locations. Inventory options allow each technician's truck to be treated as a "mobile warehouse", or they can draw parts from a common shop warehouse. In either case, always know quantities on-hand, committed to jobs, usage, and reorder requirements. Job completion screen allows instant invoicing and accounting for each customer and job. Summit provides advanced tools for a dynamic business.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Each member of the Summit Array™ of software products is built upon the latest technology of Microsoft® Office. You can integrate with Word® for marketing or collection letters, Excel® for spreadsheets or graphs and charts, PowerPoint® for business or sales presentations, Access® or Crystal Reports® for customized reports and inquiries, all from your Summit data.

You can start with the "Essentials" system and expand with additional capabilities as the need arises, or choose the product bundle that best fits your needs. Additional concurrent users can be licensed at any time. Each bundle has multi-company or multi-division capabilities right out of the box. User-friendliness is unparalleled, with Windows® 98, ME, XP, NT, 2000, 2003, 2006, 2008, Vista, and 7 point-and-click operation, extensive help documents, intuitive screen design and operation, and computer-based video demos and training. The screens and reports are easy on your eyes, with colorful palettes and uncluttered presentation.

(For those who do not want or need complete job history, customer billing, accounting, or scheduling, but still need Repeat Job Reminders (including Reminder Cards, Labels, Reports), Customer “Thank You” Postcards, Other Business Building Tools, Basic Customer and Job Information, you can start with our Summit Reminders Plus™ program.)

Concurrent user licensing can save you significantly. This approach allows you to install Summit software on multiple stations on your network but only pay licensing for the maximum number of users who will be using it at the same time. For example, install Summit on 6 stations, but if only 3 users are using it at once, only pay for a 3-user license.

Individual Software Package Descriptions

Core System Package:

  • Any rendering business
  • Complete job history and repeat business capturing, including service contracts

Credit Card Integration Package (Automatic Credit Card Processing) - Available in US/Canada only:

  • Can usually work with your existing merchant/bank processor
    You can usually continue to use your existing keyed-entry credit card hardware as a backup for this fully automated software approach. Your merchant processing service can help you reprogram it if needed
  • A combination of Internet-connected software and capabilities added to Summit Rendering Profit Builder to automatically process credit card payment receipts and mark the invoices paid within Summit
  • Third-party, industry-standard software is bundled with the Summit components to create a cohesive and seamless operation
  • Enter the payment within Summit, it is passed through to the processing software, which obtains authorization over your broadband or dial-up connection, and Summit accepts the approval codes and/or prints a report of credit card declines for your attention
  • Especially useful when customers pre-authorize automatic payment using their bank card. As an invoice for current work prints, Summit will recognize its special status and process a credit card payment for the total (of all jobs) for that customer. Payments are then automatically logged by Summit, and you send the invoice as a “receipt”. No further work is required within Summit, other than printing reports
  • Declines are removed from payment processing automatically and reported for your immediate action
  • Batch processing saves time - no more double entry
  • Money in your bank quickly (2-3 days normally)

Dispatching (Priority & Appointment) and Basic Mapping Package with Microsoft® Streets & Trips:

General Pricing Information

  • Expand a bundle by adding other available packages or expand your existing system
  • Additional concurrent networked users are discounted
  • Additional concurrent networked users must be licensed for all packages on your system
  • Any required hardware is charged separately

  • Scaled-Down Inquiry Only Versions...Available for remote users
  • License Renewal...A nominal license renewal fee is charged, currently, starting the third year of usage. This allows us to continue offering free support for the occasional, quick question for the life of your product
  • Updates...a minor, incremental change to selected areas of the system within the same major version number (e.g. version 4.00 updated to version 4.01)...cost is a flat fee, regardless of licensed packages and users, and includes all changes to date
  • Upgrades...a major, substantial change to the system to a new major version number (e.g. version 3.x to 4.x)...cost is 60% of the current licensing cost for your system as configured (i.e., a 40% discount from a new license today), which includes all changes to date and professional data upgrading (any labor required to update your Summit data structures) but does not include additional training labor (not normally required). Exception: If greater than one major version difference, 2 hours of labor will be charged for upgrading the data structure.

Training and Support

  • Bundles include FREE 30-day trial (with automatic on-going subscriptions) to *Training Essentials Service with 24/7 access to Training & Mastering Video Library
  • On-site training is available for an additional cost in your office or ours
  • Technical support is optional and is available in a subscription or per-incident basis

*Training Essentials Service with Training & Mastering Video Library provides up to 2 hours (on average) telephone/email/Internet training support monthly and 24/7 unlimited access to our growing library of training and mastering videos ($187 combined value) on a fixed monthly automatic credit card payment of only $79.99. (Over $107 savings per month!) 

After the 30-day trial period, all subscriptions have a 3-month minimum, but you can cancel any time after then before the next billing. Some months will require more training than others, and these subscriptions allow for balanced payments to smooth out the peaks and valleys of your training requirements. Some people learn better by being shown, and others prefer to view video samples, which can also be done after hours. With these options, training can be easily tailored to your needs. Training Essentials Service can be separated from Training & Mastering Video Library access and priced accordingly, as your needs change. Credit card must be valid and authorized for monthly automatic payments. Monthly automatic charge to occur on or about the same day as enrollment.
